Paris Hilton (40) spent Valentine’s day as a newly-engaged woman. While vacationing on a private island, her venture capitalist fiancé Carter Reum (40) popped the big question.
According to People Magazine, Carter proposed to Paris on her birthday, February 13th, after more than one year of dating.
– I could not have been more delighted or lucky to have her as my future wife and life partner, Reum says to the magazine.
On Instagram, Paris has posted a video, as well as photos from the engagement party. Furthermore she states that Reum is her soulmate, and telling everyone how Reum proposed, by going down on his knees. “I said yes, yes to forever,” she tells her 14 million followers:

Ready for The Next Chapter
Hilton claims that things have accelerated for the two of them, due to the COVID pandemic. As a constant traveler, she had to ease down and stay home as everything closed down, which gave her the opportunity to reevaluate what was important to her. She considers the relationship, and extra time she has been able to spend with her boyfriend, as a gift. Now she is excited, and ready for “their next chapter”.
Not a Night Apart
In an exclusive interview with People Magazine in September, Paris explained that the couple had gotten “so close” over the past year. As the pandemic hit, and she was forced to stay more at home, she got more quality time with her pets and her boyfriend. The couple actually knew each other for more than 15 years, before they started dating. But according to Paris, they haven’t spent a night apart, since their first date.
